lyrics
We can’t help but fall, it’s what we do it’s how we make our world go round.
You could take it all, throw aside what you can’t stand and spread your sound.
I couldn’t let you do it, who are you pacing pavements for?
How can you do it, becoming what you hated so before?
You say I can’t afford to wait to slow down but I’m taking lead.
You can’t afford to say I won’t take this, just watch me.
You are so touchable. I reach, you fly.
I can’t focus any more and you don’t stop but I still try, I still try.
I’ll take it back take it back with my heart in the wrong places
Is this the long goodbye?
Did you think that I wouldn’t notice the knife in my back when you covered me with kisses?
Told me it’s meant to be like this, but I know that you can’t help but walk out when you get like this.
We can’t help but fall, it’s what we do it’s how we make our world go round.
We can’t help but fall, It’s what we do it’s how we make our world stop.

The real Speed of Sound in Seawater is fast... relatively. This album is the same in that it goes by too fast and you are already putting it on repeat again. :p jason hankins

Certainly a controversial direction for the band, but this album ultimately rests as my favorite from TTNG. The technical mastery of their previous albums is still present here along with some very thought provoking and philosophical lyrics. I may not always agree with the lyrical messaging, but this is an album which rewards careful listening. Syobnaf
A heavy blend of post-rock and shoegaze from Argentina's Ox en Mayo Alto rides big emotional crests and contemplative valleys. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 27, 2021

I like to pretend I have a really talented friend who recorded this album as a gift. That's what it feels like; a gift from a stupidly close friend. sherryking
